The veteran noisy rockers worked the scene for a dozen years, releasing records on labels such as Hydra Head, Translation Loss, Doghouse and touring alongside bands like Isis, Today is the Day, and 5ive.
CABLE entered Studio G in Brooklyn, NY in March to record a new full-length album with Joel Hamilton (Unsane, Tom Waits, Book of Knots). The album, entitled The Failed Convict, features hand-drawn artwork by Aaron Horkey (Pelican, Mogwai) and will see an August 18th release via THE END RECORDS. |

GOREAPHOBIA MORTAL REPULSION *ON SALE*
GOREAPHOBIA, one of the first death metal bands from the east coast/Philadelphia PA. consists of Alex Bouks, Chris Gamble, Henny Piotrowski and Craig Smilowski. Formed back in June 1988. Goreaphobia never released a full length cd. However, still toured the U.S. with IMMOLATION during their (1992 Tour of Possession) with only a demo cassette,7" (MORBIDIOUS PATHOLOGY) and the (DEMENTED OMEN OF MASOCHISM) 7" released through RELAPSE records. With member changes the band ultimately collapsed. NECROHARMONIC re-united the original line-up after fifteen years to release some classic GOREAPHOBIA songs from the early 90's , including some new material. |

JAPANDROIDS POST-NOTHING CD/LP "Japandroids have a point of view and an M.O., but more impressively, they've mastered another secret to swaying the public: confidence without smugness." --Spin
Japandroids (JPNDRDS) is a two piece band from Vancouver, BC. This 'band' started in 2006 as a creative outlet for the post-teenage angst of Brian King and David Prowse. Originally intending to be a trio, the boys decided to forgo the logistical nightmare of having a 'lead singer' and do it themselves. As a consequence, Japandroids are one guitar, one set of drums, and two vocalizers. They call it garage rock. They don't care what you call it, as long as it's not minimal. Japandroids are maximal - a two piece band trying to sound like a five piece band.

ASTRA THE WEIRDING CD Now that the term ‘Prog’ is no longer considered a four letter-word, the world is ready for a band like San Diego based Astra, who actually make the term vital and effortlessly cool. Their Psychedelic brand of Progressive Rock manages to avoid the ghastly, self-indulgent cliché’s that predominated the bloated gut of its bad hair styled mid-seventies/early eighties definition. Astra make timeless music for timeless people. Their sound is a true breath of fresh air in these generally stagnant times. The care and attention given to every detail within The Weirding displays a dedication that is these days seldom seen or heard. A definite must for fans of early 70's underground European Prog Psych, The Weirding is an absolute monster that is destined to be a future classic!

This is the first Six Organs of Admittance album with such a lengthy gap between it and its former number. In the past two years Chasny has kept busy writing this new epic, moving house to Seattle, composing soundtracks for novels and movies, and touring constantly in America and Europe (with bands like The Dead C and OM) as well as being invited by legendary post-metal group Neurosis to play their Beyond The Pale festival in Belgium. .
