CHILDREN OF BODOM SKELETONS IN THE CLOSET *ON SALE*
2009 collection of cover versions from the Black Metal band featuring new and previously released recordings. Right from the start, Children Of Bodom have chosen to record cover versions for use as B-sides and bonus tracks. Perhaps surprisingly for a group situated at the more extreme end of the Metal scene, their choice of covers has been consistently diverse, ranging from '80s classics right through to Punk and contemporary Pop. This 17 track collection neatly rounds up this highly entertaining side of their recording career; whilst others are brand new recordings, included to further spice up the pot! Indeed, the lead track from the project is a recently completed version of 'War Inside My Head', a song originally recorded by Suicidal Tendencies back in 1987. The other two new tracks are 'Hell Is For Children' (first recorded by Pat Benatar) and 'Antisocial' (Trust/Anthrax). |

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH WAR IS THE ANSWER*ON SALE*
Five Finger Death Punch's forthcoming sophomore album, War Is the Answer, is locked and loaded with twelve tracks of raw epic heavy metal. The record's deafening battle cry will undoubtedly rattle the genre to its very core and pull you deep into this War. 5FDP have embarked on quite the journey to reach this point. The Los Angeles quintet's assault on heavy music began in 2007 with the release of their hit debut The Way of the Fist. After forming a "dream team" of metal musicians, the band self-funded the album- producing it entirely themselves. Death Punch eventually signed with The Firm/ Prospect Park. After months of relentless touring--including a show-stealing set at 2008's Mayhem Festival--Five Finger Death Punch became the hottest new band in metal. Five Finger Death Punch has fine-tuned their songs more than ever, and their sound has progressed immensely on their latest offering. Guitarist Zoltan Bathory puts it best: "We've matured but we're still the same band. Maybe we've gotten closer to traditional metal on War Is the Answer." Looking to surpass their DIY debut record, 5FDP decided to enlist some big guns for War. The band produced the album alongside world renowned producer Kevin Churko (Ozzy Osbourne), and attracted legendary mixer Randy Staub (Metallica) to the project as well. Also, the band had grown together as people, performers and songwriters. Singer Ivan Moody relates, "We tried to keep the basic ingredients but expand the sound at the same time. We spent two and a half years on the road together, and these guys have become closer to me than my biological family." |

THE ENTRANCE BAND THE ENTRANCE BAND CD/LP
Welcome to the debut album by The Entrance Band, an incendiary, ten-song journey into the creative group-mind of three talented and inspired musicians; guitarist and vocalist Guy Blakeslee, drummer Derek W. James and bassist Paz Lenchantin. The three players have committed to the full realization of the power trio, the primal impact of guitar, bass and drums throbbing together in electrified unity. "We are all based in Los Angeles, California" says Baltimore native Blakeslee, "but our origins are in Chicago." The critically acclaimed LP Prayer of Death (2006) was recorded in Chicago under the name Entrance (a vehicle for mostly solo output by Blakeslee), with collaborative input from Lenchantin and James. All three players contributed to the recording process, but it was not until after the completion of that album that the band played live together as a trio for the first time. "This is the beginning," confirms Guy. "We've been together for three years, but this will be our first presentation to the world as a trio." Now truly a band, they decided to name this, their first unified effort, The Entrance Band. The songs on The Entrance Band feel and sound like a group realizing their own vision, freed from past constraints. |
