	PEARL JAM -- Live at Easy Street In late April 2005, PEARL JAM played a surprise show at Easy Street Records in West Seattle on a Friday night in support of the 10th anniversary of the Coalition of Independent Music Stores (CIMS). The result was a once in a lifetime performance that has been captured on an EP entitled LIVE FROM EASY STREET. This 7 song EP contains 3 never before released cover songs! The 120 indie record store owners and managers who were in Seattle for the CIMS conference boarded a shuttle to attend what they were told was just “a party at Easy Street.” At about 9 PM, Pearl Jam appeared on a tiny stage that had been built in the store that day, and played a sizzling 1 1⁄2 hr performance in front of 200 people! It will be released in conjunction with the expanded and re-mastered versions of GREEN MIND and WHERE YOU BEEN. This is the first ever "unplugged" show from Dinosaur Jr.'s J. Mascis now released in its entirety for the first time.

	Elizabethtown - Songs From The Brown Hotel EP Producer Cameron Crowe (you know, the guy behind Fast Times, Say Anything, Jerry Maguire, Singles, and Vanilla Sky) is a huge supporter of new music, and specifically the kind of musicians that we love to sell. Cameron approached us to help him set up his new movie ELIZABETHTOWN and its soundtrack (available September 13), so, we bring you the SONGS FROM THE BROWN HOTEL EP. The movie Elizabethtown is based in the Kentucky town of the same name, just outside of Louisville. It stars Orlando Bloom and Kirsten Dunst. Our favorite sons, earX-tacy gets their famous sticker included in a shot in the movie, and My Morning Jacket plays a role in the movie as the wedding band. As you will notice by the track listing, Cameron has chosen to A&R this EP in a very Kentucky-centric way and he did pick every song. LIMITED EDITION OF ONLY 5000 UNITS. 	The Kills - Run Home Slow EP As a companion to their return to the United States for a tour with Bloc Party, THE KILLS deliver a 5-track EP of never-before-released recordings. 	Matt Costa - Songs We Sing EP Matt who? If you haven’t heard of MATT COSTA yet, you soon will. Matt Costa came to our attention from Long Beach indie store Fingerprints, and airplay on LA’s KCRW has created a massive buzz in the SoCal area. Matt has recorded a really fantastic full-length debut, produced by Tom Dumont of the band No Doubt and mixed by the famous Phil Eck (Built to Spill). The record is in the vein of Nick Drake (but more commercial). Catch Matt opening for Jack Johnson this summer!
	Ween - Shinola Vol.1 What the hell is this thing? Well, the band is not releasing a track listing as a surprise for their fans, but we do know that this CD features alternate versions of Ween classics, out-takes, B-sides, and other material that has not been released. AND, it’s only available at select indie stores nationwide! Trust the almighty Ween – they will take good care of you. Obey.

CHRIS pop up in the credits of Sealab2021, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, The Brak Show, and Space Ghost, although you might know him better as the voice of Hesh from Sealab. or maybe MC Pee Pants. 	ABANDONED POOLS – THE REVERB EP Anyone familiar with Tommy Walter’s work as the mastermind of ABANDONED POOLS know that his creativity is a vast wellspring from which complex pop masterpieces come to him as easy as breathing. THE REVERB EP is a sneak preview of his upcoming full-length Universal debut, ARMED TO THE TEETH, which comes out in September 2005. 	EDDIE VEDDER & THE WALMER HIGH SCHOOL CHOIR -- THE MOLO SESSIONS The Ten Club originally released this very special limited edition CD, and has now made it available to a handful of indie stores nationwide! The CD features Ed singing with the Walmer High School choir from South Africa -- a number of tracks are of the choir, and a few tracks with Ed and the choir together (including 3 Pearl Jam favorites – “Love Boat Captain,” “Long Road,” and “Betterman.”). Sales of this CD will benefit Molo Care, a Seattle non-profit that raises money for schools in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.

She tells us that some of the songs were recorded in her underwear. Neko has sold this CD at her shows, but has never made it available to stores until now. A TOAST TO YOU was recorded live at the Rex Theatre in Pittsburgh, PA on November 10, 2004, and provides an intimate souvenir of a special night with a special band. 1984-1995 is a brand new compilation of AMC songs, consisting of album tracks, b-sides, unreleased demos, and rare live tracks from the title period.

	CAMPER VAN BEETHOVEN -- DISCOTHEQUE CVB: LIVE IN CHICAGO David Lowery of CAMPER VAN BEETHOVEN is a very excited man – back on October 29, 2004, the band recorded a 7-track CD live at the Metro in Chicago. David made this piece to be sold exclusively at American indie record stores. You will not be able to find this CD anywhere else -- not even on the band’s website or at their shows! 	DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE - JOHN BYRD EP This is awesome. Here's what www.pitchforkmedia.com had to say about it last week: Barsuk Records is releasing The John Byrd EP-- fondly named after the band's touring sound engineer-- on March 1, featuring seven live tracks recorded during DCFC's spring tour in support of Transatlanticism. The EP includes songs from all stages of their career (except for, you know, that first album), as well as, according to Barsuk, "some hilarious between-song banter." 	Son Volt & Uncle Tupelo founder JAY FARRAR has a new live CD + DVD, STONE, STEEL & BRIGHT LIGHTS CD + DVD, coming June 6. For those of you that cannot get enough, we are one of the few stores in the nation to offer you a super-rare live EP that features 6 additional songs performed by Jay throughout his 2003 & 2004 tours. During these shows, the majority of the set featured Jay with Canyon as his backing band. However, to begin the set, Jay, guitar and harmonica in hand, would take the stage alone and play songs from his storied catalog. All these recordings are previously unreleased.
	This LIVE 6 Song limited release EP is of a special, semi-acoustic stripped down performance recorded in the middle of a capacity crowd at Fingerprints and showcases the band in a very intimate setting surrounded by their fans. Also available: MORE ADVENTUROUS
	Daniel Lanois has a new one out titled, "Rockets." Here's a little something from Daniel on it: I always wanted a sort of renegade cd available at the merchandise stand and on the web site. After having accepted the invitation to do a few shows with Dave Matthews, on Jennifer Tipoulow and Adam Samuels encouragement, I decided that the timing was right to put together a CD. It is a combination of live and studio alternative takes. Jennifer did the packaging and Adam did an in house mastering, bypassing the usual complications of mastering. We then went straight to the factory and had them made up. Nice feeling of cottage industry.
	BOBBY BARE JR. -- Nick Nacks and Paddy Whacks Live CD (street: 09.05.06) 12 tracks recorded live in Chicago, Seattle, and Amsterdam! Previously only available directly from Bobby Bare Jr hisself. Now about that new CD of his, THE LONGEST MEOW, available 9/26/06: 11 songs in 11 hours. That's what happened on March 26th, 2006. After wood-shedding for weeks with some of the most innovative musicians from a vibrant southeastern talent pool, Bobby and friends knocked out The Longest Meow in one arduous session, with a core band of guitarist Carl Broemel, drummer Patrick Hallahan (both of My Morning Jacket), and Mike Grimes on bass. Add to this contributions from Carey Kotsionis, Doni Schroader (...Trail of Dead), Corey Younts, Jim James (My Morning Jacket), Deanna Varagona (Lambchop), Ben Martin (Clem Snide) and producer Brad Jones. Add it all up and you've got a band of 11 that recorded 11 gelastic tracks in one 11-hour day. At 10:47, they went home.

	HARVEY MILK – ANTHEM DVD This 3 ½ hour, 44 song live documentary chronicles the band HARVEY MILK from their first shows in early 1993 to their recent stint of reunion shows. Shot almost entirely on broadcast quality television cameras, ANTHEM is a mandatory release for any fan of the band or any fan of metal, avant-garde or plain old rock and roll. The collector's package was lovingly designed by Stephen O'Malley (Sunn O))), Khanate), with liner notes by Chunklet Magazine publisher Henry Owings and includes a 3" CD of four (yes! four!) unreleased Harvey Milk tracks. ANTHEM will be a one-time pressing of 1,000. Harvey Milk have a new full length planned on Troubleman Unlimited in September and a reissue of their seminal "Courtesy And Goodwill Towards Men" due out any day now on Relapse.
	Eric Bachmann -- To The Races (VINYL) Limited edition of 1000 -- one pressing only! Vinyl LP includes Bonus Track not included on CD version! ERIC BACHMANN of Crooked Fingers will release TO THE RACES on August 22nd on Saddle Creek Records. The release marks the first time Bachmann has chosen to release an album under his own name. Markedly different than 2005's highly praised and most immediately accessible Crooked Fingers' release Dignity and Shame, To The Races is as skeletally spare as it is insightful and restrained. Qualities that also mirror the album's writing and recording process: To The Races was mainly written in the summer of 2005 while Bachmann voluntarily chose to live in the back of his touring van. Bachmann recorded To The Races in only a week's time, self-recording its entirety in a hotel in Buxton, NC. Joined on only a few songs by Devotchka's violinist Tom Hagerman and Austin, TX's Miranda Brown on backing vocals, To The Races is a stunning collection of songs examining both self-imposed isolation and the search for human connection.

	Former BR549 co-frontman & lead singer, Gary Bennett, steps out on his own with the release of his solo deubt album "Human Condition". Shortly after the album's release, Gary, and his band of Nashville luminaries showcased some of Gary's finest songs with a live performance infront of an intimate crowd of diehard fans in Music City. At the end of the concert Donnie Herron (former BR549 multi-instrumentalist who is now a member of Bob Dylan's band) sat in with Gary for the first time on stage since Gary stepped away from the music business in 2001. Bonus Feature is the "Making of Human Condition" documentary that discusses Gary quitting BR549 and stepping away from music, only to return to the studio in 2005 to record "Human Condition". Studio footage includes Gary, Kenny Vaughan, Jimmy Lester, Mark Winchester, Lloyd Green, R.S. Field, and others in the studio for the sessions. Interviews and more. Chris pop up in the credits of Sealab2021, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, The Brak Show, and Space Ghost. You might know him better as the voice of Hesh from Sealab or MC Pee Pants (or his various incarnations!).
